Set in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park, this Speyside setting is the ideal base for skiing, mountain biking, rambling, climbing, golf, walking, or simply to explore the delights of Monarch of the Glen country, the Malt Whisky Trail, or the neighbouring villages of Kingussie, Nethy Bridge, Carrbridge, Grantown and Boat of Garten. The house is on two main levels, on the ground floor: 6 double/twin ensuite bedrooms and a small lounge, with bunk beds - perfect for the kids to watch videos, play Play Stations (not supplied) etc. In the garden there is another childrens house. Upstairs there is another ensuite double bedroom. The main lounge has TV and a wood burning stove. In the corner is a sturdy bar where celebrities such as Ali McCoist, Sir Jimmy Savile, Carol Smillie and Bob Shields have all enjoyed a few drams during their visits. The lounge opens to an elevated deck with BBQ, looking over the River Druie. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fantastic dining table capable of sitting 16 persons. The river is a great place for summer fun, where children often spend the entire day. However, we must emphasise that the Druie can become dangerous following rain, and that children should always be supervised. We have wireless broadband installed.
